High School Varsity Football
20-14 loss to Shiner St. Paul

The BCS Bears took on #1 ranked Shiner St. Paul Cardinals and led the whole game but the Cardinals scored in the last 50 seconds of the game to eke out a 20-14 win.  The Bear defense, led by Curtis Mack and Blake Benton, held the team from St. Paul scoreless in the first half and the Bears led 14-0 at intermission. Benton scored the first touchdown on a 70-yard sprint, and then he found Phillip Mach for a 25-yard touchdown completion. Jonah Conner was good on both extra point tries.  Zach Mack was dominant from his defensive line position, and Hunter Burcham moved the ball on tough runs as running back. The Bears continue to play impressive football.
