BCS 6th Graders Recognized for NASA Space Simulations

BCS sixth graders received certificates from the Challenger Center for work in the simulated space missions they conducted on their NASA Trip on January 31.
Sixth graders were divided into missions at two different locations in the morning because neither Challenger Center was large enough to accommodate all of them. Each student spent one half of the mission as an astronaut in the space vehicle and the opposite half in Mission Control, supporting the astronauts.
The girls conducted their mission at the Challenger Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the boys conducted theirs at the Challenger Center at the George Observatory.
Everyone met to tour Johnson Space Center and complete activities at Space Center Houston in the afternoon.
