Brentwood Christian School takes sweepstakes title at TAPPS district 3AAA academic meet !
The Most Outstanding Student Award--tournament MVP--went to Daniel Gardner of BCS, who scored 30 points, winning two of his events, placing in all four of them, and advancing to state competition in three of them. He was also named the top student in the chemistry section of the comprehensive science test. Brentwood's Min Cheol Shin was the student with the second-highest individual points at the meet.
BCS event champions: Bear Facts newspaper, Daniel Gardner (Science and Calculator), Polly Park (Number Sense), Min Shin (Advanced Math), and Carlos Franco (Spanish).
Following are results for all BCS students who placed in the district meet. Those in boldface will advance to state competition at Concordia University in Austin on Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2.
