Center for Science and the Arts

The Center for Science and the Arts now stands on the Brentwood Christian campus like a beautiful bookend, capping off a decade of enrollment growth and physical expansion. More than ten years ago, school leaders drafted a long-range development plan to help them envision BCS at its very best.
Beginning with the construction of an athletic center in 2000, and followed by the addition of the baseball field in 2002 and the upper elementary classroom building in 2004, the BCS campus began to outwardly take on the shape of excellence that had long characterized what went on inside its burgeoning hallways.
Though the fine arts center was originally one of the highest-priority projects in the plan, necessity pushed it farther and farther into the future, until the time was right. Now it only seems fitting that this structure, which so embodies both the mind and the heart of BCS, would be the final act before the curtain fell on this stage of BCS history.

Through science, we explore the beauty,  complexity, and wonder of the natural world as we seek to understand the One who created it all. Through the arts, we express what we see and feel when we interact with His creation.
The 20,120-square-foot Center for Science and the Arts at Brentwood Christian School, which was designed by Danze & Davis Architects and constructed by Zapalac-Reed, brings both disciplines together under one roof.
In one wing, students conduct experiments in well-equipped chemistry, physics and biology labs.  In the opposite wing—named for BCS parent and advisory board member Donna Baros, who passed away in 2008—vocal and instrumental musicians refine their talents in spacious band and choir halls.  Theater students use the stage to rehearse their dramatic productions.
The welcoming lobby invites the BCS community to gather in the 360-seat Iva Lea Worley Barton Theater for meetings, chapel, special events, and performances.
The auditorium features state-of-the art sound and lighting.
So come on in, take a seat, and enjoy the show!
