Brentwood Wins District PSIA

Brentwood Christian School had its best showing ever at the District 8AA PSIA meet on Saturday, March 27, at Regents School of Austin. Vying in one of the most competitive districts in the statewide Private Schools Interscholastic Association, Brentwood outscored every other school in both the elementary and the middle school divisions and gained a total of 616 points. Totals in both divisions and overall totals are shown below:

Haleigh Heath – Dictionary Skills 5
Aaron Ho – Mathematics 8, Number Sense 8
Brendan Hollaway – Mathematics 6
Haley Hutson – Impromptu Speaking 7/8
André Kuhn – Maps/Graphs/Charts 6
Michael Lam – Mathematics 7
Gabrielle Nguyen – Number Sense 5
Shivani Pandya – Ready Writing 6
Joshua Sass – Number Sense 6

In addition, eleven BCS competitors were named as first alternate to state in an event. They are Whit Allee, Rachel Beggs, Dane Foster, Matthew Kuhn, Grant Martinez, Darrin Nguyen, Gabrielle Nguyen, David Reich, Victoria Ryan, Matthew Scarborough, and Abby White. Many more of the BCS district competitors earned points for the school, ranking in the top six in their events.
