Choir

4th and 5th Grade Choirs

4th and 5th grade choirs rehearse separately on an every-other-day schedule. They combine to perform together for both their Fall and Spring concerts. In addition to their two school concerts, these ensembles perform at Grandparent’s Day every spring.

Middle School Men’s Choir

Middle School Men’s Choir is made up of 6th-8th graders and is a non-auditioned ensemble. They rehearse every other day and perform two concerts a year. They also combine with the Middle School Women’s Choir for concerts. The Middle School Men’s Choir also compete in a contest in the spring, Fiesta Texas, with the other BCS Middle and High School Choirs.

Middle School Women’s Choir

Middle School Women’s Choir is made up of 6th-8th graders and is a non-auditioned ensemble. They rehearse every other day and perform two concerts a year. They also combine with the Middle School Men’s Choir for concerts. The Middle School Women’s Choir also compete in a contest in the spring, Fiesta Texas, with the other BCS Middle and High School Choirs.

High School Choir

High School Choir is made up of 9th-12th graders and is an auditioned ensemble. They rehearse every other day and perform two concerts a year. The High School Choir compete in two contests in the spring, Fiesta Texas and TAPPS State Vocal Contest. They also have the opportunity to perform outside of school at two sporting events, the Austin Spurs and Texas Stars.

Encore

Encore is made up of 9th-12th graders and is an auditioned ensemble. This group specializes in singing Contemporary Christian A Cappella music as well as other vocal styles such as jazz, pop, and choral. Encore performs for various occasions throughout the school year for churches, choir concerts, contests, and other events outside of BCS. These students also sing in the High School Choir.
