Academics

All curriculum at BCS is written and taught from a consciously Christian perspective and meets or exceeds state and national standards. Elementary classes are self-contained except for daily music and physical education, and weekly Spanish, computer, and library instruction. Band, art and choir behind in fifth grade, with additional electives being added in sixth through twelfth grade. High School students may choose the standard, advanced, or distinguished scholar curriculum.

All of our 2016 graduates attend a college or university with a total of $1,528,776 in annual scholarship awards. Most graduates select a Christian university, the University of Texas at Austin, or Texas A&M University. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized 10 National Merit Scholars, one National Achievement Scholar and 39 Commended Scholars.
