Mark your calendars for Grandparents’ Day on the morning of Friday, May 7th! The beautiful BCS campus will be open to our grandparents for a morning of entertainment and fellowship. To accommodate current health and safety practices, the day will be a little different from previous years but it will be a great time to see your Bear perform, visit their classroom, catch up with old friends, and enjoy a morning celebrating the work of your grandchild. This year we will have two outdoor performance stages for our elementary students with middle school choir, Encore, Jazz Band, and the Bellas performing in between the elementary grade level performances at various locations across the center of the campus. There will also be refreshment stations, golf carts to assist with movement in between performance areas, classroom visits, and lots of smiling grandkids.
All grandparents planning to attend must RSVP using the link below. Attendance is for grandparents only unless your Bear’s grandparents cannot attend and then a parent can register to attend in their place.
Our grandparents’ will enjoy refreshments, an art walk, entertainment from the Jazz Band, Lady Bellas Drill Team, middle school choir, and Encore honors choir. Grandparents of elementary students will be able to sign up for a tour of their grandbear’s classroom. Classroom visit signups and the schedule for the day will be sent out in the coming weeks.
Grandparents’ Day is a noon dismissal for our entire community. However, once you have seen your grandchild’s performance as well as any other performances you wish to see then your grandchild may be dismissed to leave with you for a day of grandparent fun. Students who do not have a grandparent (or parent) attend will have a planned enrichment day until the noon release.
