Track
The TAPPS State meet for track and field takes place today and tomorrow and we have a number of Bears and Lady Bears competing! You can follow @TappsTrack on Twitter for all of the latest details.
On April 23rd our Bears and Lady Bears track teams competed at the Regional meet at Liberty Christian in Argyle, TX. Our Bears team won first place at Regionals with our Lady Bears coming in 3rd place overall!
1st place:
- 4×100 relay boys – Chris Mayo, Brandon Tindel, Noah Shelby, Nathan Joseph
- 4×200 relay boys – Chris Mayo, Brandon Tindel, Parker Combs, Noah Shelby
- 4×200 relay girls – Juliet Booker, Lyla Kate Jackson, Emily Mulcahy, Julia Glenn
- 200m – Chris Mayo
2nd place:
- 100m – Noah Shelby
- Triple jump – Nathan Joseph
- 100m hurdles – Aaron Lilya
3rd place:
- Long jump – Nathan Joseph
- 200m – Juliet Booker
- 100m hurdles – Nathan Joseph
- Triple jump – Julia Glenn
4th place:
- 4×100 relay girls – Juliet Booker, Julia Glenn, Emily Mulcahy, Alicia Gardner
- 4×400 relay boys – Parker Combs, Will Hughes, Jack Leidlein, Isaac Stanglin
- Triple jump – Brandon Tindel
- 300m – Jack Leidlein, Julia Glenn
- 400m – Will Hughes
- 3200m – Renne Cooper
- Long jump- Julia Glenn
We also placed in the girls 3200(Lucy Belcik), girls 1600 and 800 (Katie Pittner), long jump (Emily Mulcahy), high jump (Parker Combs), 300h (Aaron Lilya), shot put (Alicia Gardner), and discus (Alicia Gardner and Ashlynn Wright)
Softball
On April 27th our Lady Bears played against TMI and won with a final score of 17-1! Molly Stewart was the winning pitcher.
Baseball
On April 22nd our Bears played against Hyde Park and won! All 4 Seniors started and played a great game on Senior Night. With a final score of 14-0 this was a great victory for our team!
On April 27th our Bears played against TMI and won with a final score of 16-5! Another great win for our Bears!
Our baseball team won their Bi-District home game and will be moving on to District next week!
