Welcome back from spring break! I hope everyone was able to recharge their batteries and are ready for a busy rest of the school year! As we march on through the month of March to May, there are some priorities that parents and students can make to ensure a successful rest of the school year.
Students:
- Stay organized, or if you’ve been struggling with that, ask for help from a friend, teacher, or parent to help improve. Being aware of upcoming assignments, tests, and projects can help you plan the time required to complete tasks and be successful.
- Take care of yourself by getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and finding time to do the things you enjoy.
- If you are struggling with a task or concept, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
- Engage yourself by participating in class discussions and extracurricular activities.
- Set goals! Make sure you set achievable goals, both academic and personal, and work towards them.
Parents:
- Keep track of student progress in RenWeb with your student and communicate with teachers if needed.
- Provide a conducive environment for study and homework.
- Help your student organize a balance between academics, extracurriculars, and personal time.
- Foster independence by teaching your child how to take responsibility and ownership of schoolwork and decisions.
- Celebrate achievements and accomplishments, even the small ones.
