Our High School teams have been doing well this season! Read all the details below.
Girls Soccer
On December 3rd our Lady Bears Soccer team played against San Juan Diego. Hailey Reich had a clinical penalty kick finish to put us up 1-0 in H1. Julia Glenn then bravely got on the end of Genevieve Graessle’s corner kick to expand our lead to 2-0. Caroline Griffith, Celeste Metayer, Jillian Hamilton, Rebecca Schmitz, and Alyssa Mancias played awesome defense and the girls all battled hard before running out of gas down the home stretch. Coach Marquez said “While we conceded 2 goals and ended up tying 2-2, I was incredibly proud of the effort put in by our girls during our first match together. We are excited about our upcoming tournament and can’t wait for district play.”
Girls Basketball
On December 6th our Lady Bears basketball team played and won against Tyler Grace Community with a score of 44-37. The Lady Bears went up against coach Loftis’ team. Kelli Tindel received an all-tournament selection.
Boys Basketball
On December 3rd our JV-B Bears played against Northeast Early College High School. Ben Gatlin led BCS with 11 points but ultimately the Bears lost 18-58.
On December 3rd our JV-A Bears also played against Northeast Early College High School. Parker Combs led the Bears with 16 points, and Evan Gruis added 9 more. The Bears lost with a score of 34-67.
On December 3rd our Varisty Bears were the last to play against Northeast Early College High School. Daniel Hickl led the Bears with 15 points, and Seth Taylor added 8 more. The Bears lost with a score of 40-77.
On December 5th our Varisty Bears played against St. Thomas Episcopal. Daniel Hickl led the Bears with 20 points, and Conner Rohlack added 11 more but ultimately the Bears lost 56-72.
On December 6th our Varisty Bears played against Elysian Fields and won with a score of 69-62. The Bears won in overtime while playing in the Brookshire Classic Tournament in Tyler, TX. Rylan Acheson led the Bears with 14 points, Conner Rohlack added 12 points, Keller Jackson added 11 points, and Seth Taylor added 10 points.
On December 7th our Varisty Bears played against Tyler All-Saints. This was a very close game Seth Taylor led the Bears with 11 points, and Conner Rohlack added 8 points. In the end, The Bears lost by 1 point with a score of 48-49.
On December 10th our JV-A basketball team played against TSD. Coach Greene stated, “The JV boys lost a tough game as they just couldn’t seem to buy a bucket. Parker Combs gave great effort in the loss.” The final score was 12-40.
On December 10th our Varisty Bears also played against TSD. The Bears won a hard-fought battle at TSD with a final score of 33-28! Conner Rohlack led the pack with 7 points.
On December 12th our Varisty Bears played against Salado. The Bears lost a close game to Salado with a final score of 43-50. Daniel Hickl led the Bears with 14 points.
On December 13th our Varisty Bears played against Killeen. This was a nail-biting game! The Bears lost 54-55 in overtime. Cason Best led the Bears with 12 points, Seth Taylor added 11 and Coby Best added 10 more.
On December 13th our Varisty Bears played against the Aussies and won with a score of 51-47! The Bears won a close overtime game against a team from Australia. Daniel Hickl led the way with 17 points and Seth Taylor added 10 more.
On December 13th our Varisty Bears played against Hyde Park. The Bears lost 43-58 in the Jarrell Tournament. Conner Rohlack led the Bears with 18 points.
