Football

On October 4th our 7th ranked Varsity Football played and beat Yorktown with a score of 35-13! In the 1st Quarter, Isaac Copeland had a 7-yard touchdown reception from Sam Orick. Jonah Connor kicked for the extra point. In the 2nd Quarter, Baley Cordes had a 5-yard touchdown run. Jonah Connor made that extra point again. Riley Keesey had a 1-yard touchdown run. The extra point made by Jonah Connor. Sam Orick had a 5-yard touchdown run. Connor’s kick was true again! IN the 3rd Quarter, Isaac Copeland had a 12-yard touchdown run. Connor once again came through with the extra point.

 

Cross Country

On October 5th our BCS Cross Country team competed at the Founders Classical Invitational. The girls had a score of 85 and placed 3rd overall. The boys had a score of 151 and placed 7th overall. Jack Leidlein placed 12th and Julia Glenn placed 10th.

 

Elementary & Middle School

Football

On October 3rd our 5th grade flag football team played against Round Rock Christian and won with a score of 19-0. The defense was outstanding in this game. We had multiple sacks, and interceptions. We are doing a much better job pulling flags and executing plays on offense. We have improved A LOT since the first week of practice.

On October 7th our 5th grade flag football team played against St. Gabriel . The Bears lost with a score of 20-0. Overall our team showed improvement. Despite the point disparity, the game was pretty close, and hard fought. 

On October 8th our 5th grade flag football team played against St. Theresa. This was the best defensive game we have had all year. Dalton Griswold and Tucker Smith performed exceptionally well at rushing. We went into 6OT before finally getting stopped on a final play. It was a tough loss with a score of 30-24, but we showed our fans and ourselves that we are capable of hanging in there with the best of teams.

 

Cross Country

On October 5th our 5th-8th grade cross country teams competed in the Founders Classical Invitational. There was no team score for our 5th & 6th graders, however, Harper Counts finished first among all 5th and 6th graders in this meet and Hailyn Counts places 9th. Levi Baron placed 5th. The 7/8 girls team scored 70 points against 11 other teams and placed 1st overall. Katie Pittner placed 9th, Abby Munoz placed 14th and Lauren Self placed 15th.

Volleyball

On October 1st the 6th grade volleyball team played against Hill Country Christian and won with scores of 2-0: 26-24, 25-20 The Lady Bears played a great game both at the service line and the net. 

On October 7th the 5th grade Lady Bears played against Redeemer and won with scores of 25-22, 24-26, and 15-13. It was an exciting match between two evenly matched teams that included another game three Lady Bear comeback. The Lady Bears completed a season-high 41 serves, led by Renee Groomes, Henley Magee, Sevastiana Riveron, and Skyla Jimenez.

On October 7th our 6th grade Lady Bears volleyball team played against Regents. The Lady Bears had a great first set but fell behind in the second and third after missing their serves and struggling with passing errors. The Lady Bears lost with scores of 2-1, 16-25, 28-26, 15-13.

On October 8th the 5th grade Lady Bears played against St. Theresa’s. The Lady Bears lost a close three set match.  St. Theresa’s is undefeated and had only lost a single set all season before falling to the Lady Bears in the first set. The Lady Bears played their best match of the season, completing a season high 74% of their serves (37/50).  Skyla Jimenez continued her serving dominance, completing 12/12 serves – she is 38/45 over her last four games!

On October 7th our 6th grade Lady Bears volleyball team played against St. Theresa’s. The Lady Bears fought hard but ultimately lost with scores of   25-9 and 25-7.
