Girls Basketball

The girls’ basketball team has been making waves both at home and in other tournaments, showcasing their talent and determination. Having the opportunity to host their own tournament was a testament to their skills and leadership and provided the ultimate opportunity for fans to witness their grit on the court. Participating in another tournament early on in the season, added to their experience which exposed them to different teams and playing styles. The five games they have played thus far, most of which were hosted at home, have been a blend of strategy and pure athleticism. Tonight, December 12th, marks the beginning of their official season playing their first district game against Boerne Geneva at 5:15 pm. The team is undoubtedly pumped up and ready to show all BCS fans how they have strengthened their camaraderie and strategy from early on in the season till now.

Boys Soccer & Girls Soccer

The boys and girls soccer teams have been in action, displaying their skills and determination across four games each. Tonight’s game against St. Stephens sets the stage for an intense showdown before they face off against their district opponent, Holy Trinity, on January 4th. Each game has been an opportunity for them to fine-tune their strategies, understand their strengths, and work on areas that need improvement. With one more game before the holiday break, it’s a chance to leave a lasting impression before they regroup in the new year. The break during the Christmas holiday offers a chance for rest and rejuvenation, allowing reflection of past games, the ones still yet to come. As the schedule resumes on January 4th, both teams will be ready to hit the ground running. The skill, cohesion, and determination exhibited by the boys and girls soccer teams promise an exciting continuation of their season after the holiday break.

Swim

The swim team is making incredible progress as a new program this year. It is incredible to hear about the achievements of the swim teams in their recent meet. This past week at Round Rock High School, Jennifer Montier had an outstanding performance, clinching first place in the 200m Individual Freestyle and the 100m Breaststroke. Her talent and hard work are making a significant impact on the team’s success. Let us not forget Reid Alexander’s impressive swims in the 100m free and the 50m free, showcasing his skill and contributing to the boys’ team with remarkable performances. Heading into another meet in Burnet this weekend, it is evident that the swim team is on an upward trajectory. Participating in meets regularly is an excellent way for the team to gain experience, refine their techniques, and further solidify their presence in the swimming circuit. Here’s to more successes and record-breaking performances for the swim team in Burnet this week!
